2012 Golf Club at Fernley Weekday Golf Clubs

Information and Schedule

The Golf Club at Fernley will collect a tournament fee, build, score and award merchandise credit for one (1) tournament each month following the schedule below.  Tournament will be a Shotgun Start for 24 or more players.

Monday Seniors Golf Club, Wednesday Golf Club and Couples Golf Club will sign up and play on their own all other weeks and will be scheduled by Tee Times off #1 Tee. We will Shotgun Start for groups of 24 or more players.

Sign-up sheets will posted every week for regular play and tournament play. Please sign up by 4pm two (2) days prior to play to guarantee your tee time or place in the tournament.

Tournament Schedule        –       Beginning in March

1st Monday of the Month     Monday Senior Golf Club

 2nd Wednesday of the Month    Wednesday Golf Club

3rd Thursday of the Month            Couples Golf Club

News Regarding Play Time for the Wednesday Club:

A brief meeting was held Wednesday, July 20th. President John Angleson presented two proposals from the Golf Course management. Number one was to start play at 8 AM with a shotgun start at a cost of $2 per player . Number two was to keep our 9 AM starting time. After discussion, John was asked to meet with management and ask if we kept the 9 AM starting times could we have a shotgun start. John met with the management and the following was offered. Keep the 9 AM starting time with a modified shotgun start of 8 players on one, then 8 players on 18 continuing back to 17 etc. depending on the number of players. This solution was accepted unanimously by the club and will be in effect starting next week July 27th, 2011.
The Fernley Golf Club is one of several organizations at The Golf Club at Fernley.   Others clubs include The Fernley Men's Club and the Fernley Women's Club.  The purpose of  Fernley Golf Club is to promote the sport of golf and conserve the best interests and true spirit of the "game of golf" as embodied in the ancient and honorable traditions.  The Fernley Golf Club is a co-ed club. Men, women and children 14 and older, are welcome to become members.  The Fernley Golf Club offers Wednesday events and tournaments.

The Board has approved the continuation of the Web Page for 2011.  The Golf Club @ Fernley is open and in great shape.  2011 looks as if it will be another great year.
